65 years of freedom, countless stories of resilience-today, I celebrate being Nigerian.
Today, we don’t just celebrate the freedom we gained 65 years ago-we celebrate a culture that has evolved, the people who make it vibrant, and the many languages that continue to thrive.
And we take absolute pride in this phrase, ‘9ja no dey carry last’
All I can do today is thank God, with tears in my eyes. He has brought us this far as a nation, through many hooks and cranes. We’re still here; some of us carrying pain and tears, others joy and laughter. But one thing I believe we all share is pride and hope in our hearts that we shall indeed not carry last in greatness.

Although the Anthem was reinstated last year, a big part of me still holds unto the old. It’s there, I believet he true values and identity of our Nation is wrapped in every line.
Arise, O Compatriots
Verse 1:
Arise, O compatriots, Nigeria’s call obey
To serve our fatherland
With love and strength and faith
The labour of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.
Verse 2:
Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause
Guide our leaders right
Help our youth the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation where peace and justice shall reign.
Amen✨🤍
