Can’t help but wonder..

Why is everyone so worked up about the new year?

I’ve been thinking about it, and the answer isn’t as clear-cut as you might think. Don’t get me wrong, I understand the excitement about crossing into 2025, but isn’t it fascinating how much we focus on this “crossover” when in truth, the most important “new year” we experience is the one where we step into a new age—our birthday?

I mean, every year, we’re crossing over into a new age, with all the lessons, growth, and experiences that come with it. That transition, that moment of reflection, is personal—sometimes even more surreal than the change from December to January. It’s the day we truly celebrate ourselves, and yet, I’ve realized that we often forget how significant that personal crossover can be. I guess the collective excitement for the new year is just contagious.

Although Christmas Day has passed, I want to take this opportunity to thank God for sending His Son into the world. Christmas is such a special time—because it holds so much significance in a single month. To me, Its the ultimate celebration. And it’s true what they said ‘Its the most wonderful time of the year‘ We reflect on the greatest gift we have ever received—Jesus and prepare our heart for what lies ahead. And to top it off, there is me still basking in the birthday spirit. It’s a magical combination.

As we stand on the cusp of a new year, I’m filled with gratitude for the incredible gift of life, for the love Jesus has brought into the world, and for the countless blessings we often take for granted. Let’s embrace all the opportunities and blessings ahead and also let’s remember to thank God for the gift of life, the gift of His Son, and for giving us another year to grow, learn, and experience His grace.

Hope you had the most wonderful time of the year this month.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
